Julia Tell
Freelance Writer
About Me
I’m not kidding when I say writing runs in my blood. My mother was an editor at Encyclopedia Britannica before I was born, my father was an English professor, and my sister is a writer. I was helping my father grade his college students’ papers when I was in 4th grade, but I had ambitions for other professions—dance, film, and theater, which I excelled in for a number of years. Along the way, I have taught screenwriting at two different colleges and had my PhD dissertation published as a book. Now, all that creativity and outside-the-box thinking goes into my writing for businesses.
With all that I have been interested in, I have a varied treasury of knowledge plus the gumption to research anything I (or my clients) want me to know. My base is communications, whether in film, theater, or in writing an engaging case study. And it doesn’t hurt that those years of being a starving theater artist, I often had “day jobs” in sales. I know how to persuade, which comes in handy for business writing.
